Hello My name is Jaaron I'm thinking about getting a new RC car sometime soon, I already Have a Traxxas Rustler and a Losi Micro SCT. The type of cars im thnking about getting so please tell me which type I should get and from which manufacture:

1/10 Scale Buggy 2WD
1/10 Scale Buggy 4WD
1/10 Scale Short Course Truck 4WD
1/10 (or Smaller) Scale Street Car
1/10 (or Smaller) Scale SuperCar
and 1/10 Scale Late Model

Again tell me which ones to get and from which brands.

it really depends on what u plan on doing? racing? bashing? and also what local shops carry parts for what u end up getting :nod:

If ur plannin on racin at a track, most of them dont have a class for the 1/10 buggys, or even a onroad car....short course is ur best bet.....

that's not true every track ive been to there's always a 2wd and 4wd buggy class, stadium truck on the other hand is not the most popular but is on the rise in a lot of places :nod: but yes short course is the very popular but i must say 2wd stock buggy class is the most popular out there hands down, at my local tracks there always a full class if not two heats for the 2wd stock buggy :D

2WD Buggy Stock and Mod is like the Formula 1 of the RC world.

It will always be around.

To the OP, I assume you plan to race? If so I would check out the local tracks and see what class(s) peak your interest. That will give you a good starting point.

Ya I would follow TJMac's advice. I picked up a TLR 22T and built it to the HILT... Only to find that I'm hard pressed to find a track that has enough Stadium Trucks show up to even make a class! The SC phenomenon is still running strong here in the NW.

Ok um there is a track with all types of buggy classes and SCT classes and stadium trucks classes. The store I go to mostly sells traxxas parts but Ive been shopping online lately. I'm also planing on doing Alot of bashing.


BTW Thanks so much to everyone who gave suggestions. Keep them up.

then i would pick up either a slash or a sc10 rtr, these both are race capable and very tough for bashing :nod: or a t4.1 rtr these are also very fun for racing and very basher capable :nod: most shops carry associated parts as well so parts shouldn't be much of an issue anyways (same with the traxxas as u said your shop carries those too) as they don't really break. with proper tires and a lil bit of tuning any of these can be awesome racers/bashers.

all the brands have pros and cons to them weather its buggy, 4x4 or 2wd whatever. buy the brand that your LHS has the most parts to.
for example: if your LHS has a load of Losi parts, get a losi, if you LHS has a load of associated parts, get an associated!
