Default Pinion size?

Just acquired a xxx graphite Kinwald edition losi buggy. I have no clue what size spur gear is in this buggy but it is a yellow one.

I will be running a 15t brushed motor and was wondering what would be a good pinion size to keep things cool.

Thank you for your tiime.

Well you kind of have to know the spur gear size otherwise the suggestions could be way off.

That said I found this site today and it is really helpful. RC Gearhead

Amazing what the Google will turn up. The owners manual says the stock spur for that car was a 78 tooth and they suggest using a 23 tooth pinion with a 15t motor.
