Ok i'm looking at racing some mod buggy with my b4. I was wonder how to choose good batteries without going broke. What should I look for in the way of numbers. Can you all give me some help. Thanks

if you are new to racing and never assemble, or know how to maintain batteries. you can get away with half-decent pack, match or non-matched GP3300 should get you around just fine, if you want matched packs low 1.7v @30amp will be good start without setting you back too much . once you are into it, and have more knowledge on battery care (battery discharger, Equlizing tray), then you can get better matched packs. 1.7-1.8v @30amp ~1-2 IR will be very good pack, I wouldn't worry about run-time at this point because off-road car will easily make 5 minutes with GP3300 no problem.

The first post, the guy meant 1.17 and 1.18. A rechargable NiMh cell is only rated at 1.2v not 1.7 or 1.8.

I got my packs from Pro Match , they offer a 3 pack special that saved me a bunch of money, so I bought one of their 12 amp power supplies as well, I have no complaints with either, they work great

Fusion has some very sweet deals on pre-assembled packs.
