Quick question. Is shock oil and diff oil the same or no?

They are the same in the sense that they are both oil, but you do not want to run shock oil in the diff or diff oil in the shocks. shock oil should be like pancake syrup, diff oil about like peanut butter. Not exactly the right way to explain it but shock oil and diff oil do completely different actions on the truck.

I think that was a great explanation, except one thing.... what about the difference between a ball diff oil vs gear diff grease?

Grease is grease, thick pasty like substance, where the oil is more watery type substance that fills the entire case instead of just bunching up in place like grease does, other running option I guess,

Thank you for the information. I have regreased the diff and fix the idler gear. I am back to racing.

After my first 2 runs with the sc10rs, I have noticed that the battery life is way long than my blitz or old slash was. It's very nice.

Essentially, will my SC10 body fit on the .2 without drilling new holes?

The answer is yes, in case anyone is wondering. Bought and built my .2. Body slipped right on.

Does anyone make an aluminum servo saver for an SC10/T4.1? I'm looking for something that is a metal version of the original, not a solid one piece unit.
Thanks

STRC makes ONE THAT IS NOT MADE OUT OF PLASTIC.http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...crank-Set-Blue
I used it for awhile before I went with the solid avid bellcrank.

I have a new to me SC10.1FT with big bores all around. Is there a consensus good starting spring/piston/oil setup for indoor clay with good traction? I've been checking out all the setups on Team Associated website but man are they all over the board. This would be for mod.

Did you go to the big bore shocks on the website and then click on the hyperlink at the bottom that gives you a setup sheet for big bores that works for the FTsc10?
I started with the standard setup and made minor changes to get my truck dialed
