Default Acceptable motor/ESC temps?

I got a Losi XXX-SCT and slapped a Reedy 3300 kv motor with an sc450 ESC that I bought from someone here. For testing purposes I kept the stock gearing of an 88T spur and a 16T pinion. This thing is a BEAST. It does wheelies with no problem. In fact, I think I'm going to have to weigh down the front.

After about 8 minutes of driving it around, I pulled it and took some temperature readings. I am getting 130 degrees on the motor and 105 degrees on the ESC heatsink? Are these acceptable temperatures?

According to RC Gear Head I should be shooing for a 12.28 FDR. Right now with a 88T Spur and a 16T pinion, I am getting a 13.37? Should I get a 18T pinion? Or maybe just change my spur and pinion all together to get the ideal FDR? Or are the temp readings ok?

160 is max for motor temps. Really about the same for esc.

I have the same motor and esc, at 20/87 gearing i temp out at 160 motor and 115 esc. The paperwork that comes with this motor gives u a limit of 175 max temp. At 160 i'm pushing it but that's also running on a hot 90 degree day.

Those temps are just fine for that runtime. As mentioned, unless you feel you need more out of it I wouldn't touch it. You could get a little more out of it however. I personally don't like my stuff above 160 degrees.

Motor temps are much more manufacturer specific than this. Novak motors usually work best under 140, but ive run LRP motors up to 200 without a problem.

As for the sensorless stuff, the OP motor temps are fine.
