Need a cheap brushless esc
The brushed motor in my sons slash died last week. All stock, runs in the novice class. I'm stuck between buying a cheap brushed motor and run the stock esc or but a cheap esc and run it with a spare 17.5 that I have. I know, you get what you payfor but I don't have the funds to buy a good esc right now and I want to get him back and running. What are my options in the $30-40 range? Thanks
Nick

Check out www.falconsekido.com is your 17.5 sensored?. If so you can pickup a hobbywing Xerun 60amp esc for 63 bucks. Or if sensorless you can pickup with a 35amp or 60amp ezrun esc for 35-50 bucks.

Go with the Brushless Hobbies 80 or 120 Amp...
These two brushless sensored escs are some of the best for your dollar. They are sensored and included the programing adaptor to make any kind of adjustments to the esc from blinky stock mode to wild timing advance... All this for a VERY attractive price. Plus Stan who owns Brushlesshobbies is great to work with and provides great customer service. You are dealing with a local company here in the states...

120 Amp Unit: http://www.brushlesshobbies.com/120A...mer_p_113.html
both would suit you need and then some...
I know they are both a little more than you budget today but well worth it....
Good luck and if you do go that route I would be happy to help you with any questions or settings...

Speed Passion has one here:http://www.speedpassion.net/us/catagory.asp?c=esc&sc=17 that might work for you. I have not used any of these from this page but have the gt2.1 prostock that I am happy with.
