Trinity D8 4x12 1/8th scale motor

I asked this question on the trinity revtech thread with no response . Has anyone ran these motors and give an opinion on them ? I have had good luck with the old brushed motors the duo 1 and the new revtechs . Now im looking to 1/8th scale but theres not much on these motor Info wise or forum wise . Being a trinity I usualy would buy it anyway BUT I remember the nemesis /pulse line of motors , they was impossable to run and make enuff power to keep up . Just a bad design . Anyway any input would be great thank you. I will be putting mine in a truggy btw.

Forgive me for straying off topic. I have no experiance with the D8 motors but I wouldn't hesitate to run one at all. The Duo series of motors have been excellent for me. In fact I still have an old Duo1 17.5 thats the fastest 17.5 in my box of motors. I agree that I had a lot of issues with the revtechs and wouldn't buy another one. But I found my problem was just that I had it overgeared. The revtechs dont like to be over 130 to make power but they will scream if you put a small enough pinion on them and will stay cool. I guess I'm just currious what your problem was with the D1
Typicaly a sensored motor does not like to run sensorless and will give you some issues from a dead stop, if you are going to run sensorless I would more recomend a castle motor over a trinity.

I run the 2100KV with a Tekin RX8 seems to run hot. I have run a few different combos and I get the same result. Also I noticed that the screws on the back of the can seem to want to loosen up. I have tightened them like 3 or 4 times in 3 races. I believe this extra heat is causing other issues also. I am running it on a Losi8E 45 Spur, 15T Pinion with Protek 50C 4S batteries. Honestly because of the lack of participation on the forums about the motor I think I am going to buy a Tekin 1900KV to see if I have the same issues.

These motors are great
I personally run the D8 1950 and it is great. The bottom end does not overpower the car but the top end is still stupid fast like a higher KV motor.
My son has the 2100 in it and it is very strong!
They run super cool.
You can not go wrong with these motors.

I have been running them...
I have been running these motors since they were in prototype and they are great motors.
I was running the Tekin motors before Epic released the D8 and I will tell you that are a great motor.
They run super cool and provide tons of power. I have found you gear them a tooth smaller than a tekin per KV as they spool up a ton more then other brands and provide blistering top speed.
I mostly run the small can 1950KV in my RC8.2 and it provide silky smooth power for an Ebuggy. Not as harsh on/off switch type of power others seem to provide.
Give them a try... You will not be dissapointed...

Not Sure
I honeslty am not sure... I would think they would run fine except they will not be as smooth on the bottom end as they could be. I mostly run them with either the LRP IX8 or my son runs his with a Hobbywing 150 Sensored.
I personally have not had the best luck with Castle stuff.

Thanks for the comment Jfuel!
at amain i only see a type of can, and they are all 74mm, so if you say that you were running the small can 1950kv, you mean that it was smaller?
Nowadays people looking for a sensored motor only have one choice: TEKIN, but there are new motors out there and nobody talks about it; like thunder power zxr8 (i own a 1900kv), the new orion mr8 and those team epic that looks so good.
