I have started building the car tonight and i am very impressed. The diff housings are the best i have seen to date. The diffs will need to be broken in as Danny said but they build extremely nice. I take my time when i build a car and trim all flashing and such and i fit everything together and make sure everything is perfect so i dint get extremely far. I have the rear of the car built, All 3 diffs and the front housing and tower assembled. Tomorrow night I will continue and mount the arms and turnbuckles on the front. So far, I havent had any snags. Kick ass job Danny. Plastic molded parts are accurate and very nice. Machine work is really nice as is the color choice for the Anodize. I am really digging this car. Good job brutha

Awesome to hear this Jason and thanks for the post.

FYI for everyone, we're headed out to the Nats tomorrow, so we may not be able to respond to questions as quickly as normal. We'll do our best though. We're hoping for the best at the Nats. Austin Blair is running the EB48 and we have Ty Tessman, Jesse Robbers, and Tyler Vik running the Tekno V4 conversion on their new D8 '12's. Anything can happen. We'll keep you informed. Thanks everyone!!!

+1

Definitely want the setup for WCRC, although Austin drives pretty darn aggressively and not really my style. But I would want to try his setup anyway.

I won't hold against Tekno if your drivers don't stop the rampage that RC of Associated is on RC would beat just about anybody driving just about anything. But if someone can beat him in electric 1/8, you guys have the right drivers. Good luck.

I may have just found the perfect battery for the EB-48 (IMO) hobbyking has these out now, they are brand new it looks like.

http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbycity/s...dProduct=24308

128 g each x 2 256 grams total.
7.4 per pack at 5600 mAh in series thats 4S/5600
69 MM long each pack x2 is 138 MM 10 MM short of the full space available.
46 MM wide
25 MM high.

Same size as a 2S pack.

Each pack is 2s3P which means they use 3 individual packs inside for discharge which helps with voltage curve and heat over time.

at 256 grams total this is the lightest 4S pack out.

They are cheap... especially for a 65C discharge battery, and they use the new nanotube technology with he ability to charge up to 15C (no charger can do this.)

so, you are wanting to run dual saddle packs? I think there description is wrong or something.

Based on what I am seeing, looks more like these are just 7.4V saddle packs.

It is showing they are 7.4v per pack, so two gets you to 4s. If that's accurate, these may work out pretty well. I'm tempted to order a set.

Man,I might have to try those out some time. They look great, but I've seen quite a few puffed nano-techs which is wierd because turnigy states they will out last a regular turnigy batt. Also the title to the link says 4000mah 5s. Kind of funny because each of the batteries themselves say 5600mah 7.4v. 7.4x2=14.8(4s) not 5s. I would wait to get them until hobbyking gets their $h!t strait. Hope they perform well.

If that doesn't work out you could also get a pair of these: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbycity/s...dProduct=23134
