Default stampede 4x4 too hot

I recently got a new vxl motor of my stampede, first day assemble it back together ran it and the pinion gears melted. i was running it offroad , next day i install new pinion gear ran in the street see how it reacts. about 10 minutes of running on the street little bit on front yard grass motor was very very hot, esc was hot, pinion gears felt like it was going to melt soon if i keep running it. also to loosen up and tighten up the clutch see if there was a different. motor too hot, clutch and pinion was also very hot. can someone tell me what i should do next.
thank you

What gear ratio are you running? Is your gear mesh loose or tight? Make sure that nothing is binding and check your bearings. Could be many factors.

IMO, the Velineon just isn't the right motor for the Stampede 4x4. Even the Tenshocks I ran got pretty warm 65 degrees C or higher.

Check that your bearings aren't gritty in the center diff/slipper clutch, next how tight is your mesh (how did you set it?). Never melted any pinions in my 4x4 slash....

That difference is fine. Your lipo isnt to blame.
