What sort of money you got? 1/8 is the best for a beast style RC (whether it's a buggy or a truggy) but they can get expensive.

Mamba monster 2200 or tekin rx8 with 2200 truggy motor. 4s for racing or 6s for holy $hit power.

Find out what your track will allow. If it's indoor, some will allow 1/8 scale some don't. Some allow them with 2 cell lipo only. Build accordingly.

If your track allows 1/8 buggy, go that route since cost is not a big concern. They are the F1 of dirt.

I run a Kyosho Inferno VE with a Mamba 1717 on 6s and that is a beast!
Bought a ST-RR truggy chassis yesterday. Hope the longer and wider chassis will calm it down. With the Inferno VE chassis it does backflips doing 50-60 km/h.

For a beast I would choose a monster truck (upgraded savage flux) or a truggy.
It must have plenty of ride height & suspension travel and a very strong transmission, to sum it up.

I wouldn't go with an e-revo. I had the brushless version, it was good but you don't mix power and plastic driveshafts.. You would have to upgrade it massively to make it handle rough terrain. An other good option would be a e-converted SAVAGE

Concerning the electronics you can't go wrong with a RX8 speedo and tekin or NEU motor
