so im new to the electric scene and was wondering when braking do you just kick the trigger forward and that will throw the motor into reverse or will I damage something...the car is a vorza.

It does not kick the car in reverse. reverse even on RTR cars usually has a delay. You are going to want to play with the brakes though, from the factory I imagine they are 100%, which will lock them right up. What i run for braking and what the next person runs are going to be 2 very different things. You have to play around with the EPA, and if the ESC has any adjustments as well.

so there is a delay...so the car has to come to a stop before the motor will reverse?

Its usually double action to get into reverse on any esc. First try your radio endpoints, its easier to adjust from there. Anywhere between 50%-75% is usually the sweet spot.
