Default need advice on breaking in modified brushed motor

Hi guys,
Just replaced my burned out stock brushed 540 12t motor in my rustler
with a team trinity modified emerald 16t motor.

What is the best way to break it in so i do not burn this one out as well?

take the pinion off so its not actually running the car. either set your throttle trim or manually with the trigger so its about 10% hold it there for a minute and let it off. do that a few times then up it to about 25% in short bursts then back down. gradually work your way up but dont hold massive amounts of throttle for long periods of time. after that make sure you clean it. you should be good after that
