castle motor and esc for my sc10 2wd & sc10 4wd

what castle motor and esc combos will be good in my sc10 2wd & sc10 4wd trucks?

3800 in the 4x4 2wd i dont know.

darryl80 03-23-2012 06:58 PM

would the 3800 work in my 2wd or would it be too much for it?

Well i did drive a 2wd slash with the proline supension kit and he was using a 3800kv with a Castle pro max i think and a 2s lipo i think it was to fast to much power so if you get it do tune the esc

But than again i was running it on a small offroad track that is techinal.

Il be honest i think a 17.5 and a 13.5 is enough for a 2wd sc .
I been running a Novak GTB 1.35 system on my 2wd slash its perfect !

so probably more like a castle 4600kv motor would be better for my 2wd then?

Im not sure about that really i mean a 4600kv in a 2wd sc sounds like to much i think a 13.5 or a 17.5 with a 2s lipo has is perfect power for a 2wd sc.

Just gear it good.

All these SC motors with all the diffrent Kv make my head spin i wish companys whould just make it more simple like 1/8 electric motors.

i have 2 speed passion speed controllers but now i want to go with castle mamba max pro speed controllers. so my speed passions might bw going up for sale soon. i figure castle setups are way easier to work with just mount them up and plug them in no soldering to do with castle.

Yea the castles are not bad i run a Mamba monster esc and a 2200kv motor on my truggy the only downside is thier sensoredless so its not the smoothest out there inless you mess with the esc settings or have a smooth trigger hand . It will go when you step on the throttle lol.

I actually like sensored esc/motors better than sensorless after running a Novak sensored esc/motor on my 2wd slash .

Yea i dont blame you on the soldering im ok at it but if the iron is not hot enough or dirty it will test your nerves .

darryl80 03-23-2012 07:56 PM

does it take the people to solder?

darryl80 03-23-2012 07:57 PM

i mean two people.

No it doesn't take 2 people to solder. Where are you located?

tc5 man 03-23-2012 08:04 PM

If you dont have a soldering jig (helper) it can be hard but it can still be done.
