Its here!!!

My lx2e is here!! Heres the breakdown of what i have/need.

It has:
Hobbywing sc8 esc
Hobbywing 2700kv motor (combo with esc)
Airtronics 94851 servo for steering
Spektrum dx3c
14 tooth pinion. (any recomendations)

QUESTIONS

Is the 2700kv motor okay? The guy i bought it from used it in a 1/8 oval car and said it worked great. I dont know anything about electric motors so i need help on what to do. Some people said a 1700kv motor. But i dont wanna spend the money if i dont have to.

Should i run 3s or 4s? I posted a picture of the track ill be running at.

If 4s: Can i program the esc to send less power? Or will 3s suffice? Im not looking for a pavement speed demon. Just a fast track buggy.

Thats all for now. Will break down the buggy tonight. Thanks!

You can only try it and see how it goes temps-wise.

i'm still trying to figure out if you only go once around the track.

Its a big'un but not ridiculous. What Ratsack said is right..i think you're going to have issues with temps...for that big of a track go with a 16 pin and keep the esc at default with a 4s to start...i just got my hobby wing/(orion) esc today for the 8th scale and from what i read they do not get hot easily...but i think you will have better top end if you up the pinion. Play with the punch and keep yur eye on temps...you will have toooooo much motor i betcha but if you can dumb it down enough and still be able to handle it then no worries...Race on! good luck.

i see the flow..there is a pipe missing on the bottom left of the pic. its a links type track...back and forth.. think there is another lane that is barely cut out of the pic at the very bottom..but could be wrong.

Regarding the track: I used a panoramic setting on my phone so the track, around the lower left corner, got chopped up. It actually hooks around but you cant see it. Its called trains and lanes. There are probably videos of it on youtube.

I agree with the motor pinion. 14t sounds a little small for such a high powered motor. Even with 4s 16t should kick it around nice. With the programming card and a spektrum ds3c.. is it possible to program less throttle or power? I dont have the radio yet. And im clueless still! I did nitro a while back but i didnt have gear as nice as this
