I have an older MX4, I would imagine the diffs build similar to it. On the MX4 the diff screw threads into the opposing diff half instead of a lock nut. The diff screws were slightly bent to help keep them from loosening. When I got replacement diff screws from another manufacturer I just used a pair of pliers to bend the screw slightly like the original screws, its been a quite a while, but I don't remember ever having any loosening issue! I would just put a slight bend about 5mm from the end of the screw, medium grade/blue threadlock could help also, but I don't ever remember having to use it.

do you have a picture of the diff bolt that you are using? also, did you build a thrust assembly along with the rest of the diff?
