how to tell if your lipo is dead or flat
how do you tell? do you measure the resistance or just feel of the motor? Reason I am asking is I have a G6 4300 65C Thunderpower that feels flat and is only about 10 runs old and always balanced and properly stored.
I did a test just to see and fully charged it is reading 8 ohms resistance 5 on 1 and 3 on the other. Now to confirm I tested my other 4300 40C and it is reading a total of 4ohms 2 and 2 and this battery feels much better and is actually older.
So at what point do the batterys become to much resistance, I am using them in a SCR with a 17.5 blinky mode.

Anything from 0-5 mOhms is still a good cell. Once you go over that the cell usually takes longer to balance charge. I have a four cell pack with one cell at 18 mOhms, the rest are from 0-5. It still works great but takes forever to balance. That cell charges and discharges at a faster rate than the others.

Is resistance a reliable way to test lipos? I have 3 packs. 2 of them I used last in Sept the 3rd has only been charged once and has been sitting since last June and I was wondering if there was a way to check them out.

On my Icharger 306B it has a IR checker and tells you the IR of each cell. I called Thunderpower today and they said it is definatly on the weak side so there going to upgrade me to a 6000 65C pro race pack after work.
