As far as the motors, I love the 6.5 & 7.5 I have but all the 17.5's I have are slowwwwwww... I bought a LRP K4 for $64.00 between 2 heats after I could not get the Orion 17.5 to keep up with the other drivers... The LRP K4, which is a cheaper version of the X12 & X20's was soooo much faster, it was not funny. I didn't have time to change the spur/pinion at all so it was a simple motor change... I gained a whole 2 laps with this change. Needless to say, I have about 7 Orion VST 17.5's for sell if anyone wants any... I'm gonna switch them all out as I have been in denial for months now trying to tell myself that they are fast when deep down, I knew they were not...
Don't give up! Try the older Pro Stock 17.5 first. I have my B4.1 geared 35/72 and it screams in blinky running on an R10 Pro. I've never used Orion batteries. I've been very happy with my Reedys so there was/is no reason for me to switch.

Today was the second time I ever ran into a problem with this motor. Was driving in practice and heard a weird noise coming from the car so I took it back to the pits expecting to find dirt or something in my gear mesh. I then found 1 of the small phillip head screws had fallen out the motor and caused it to vibrate by the sensor side of the motor. I also had this happen earlier this year but the screw had not fallen completely out. Does anyone know of any good replacement screws?

Default No Sensor Wire Included

I purchased the Team Orion VST2 Lightweight Motor (item # 28293).
The motor doesn't come with a Sensor Wire.
