would a castle 4600kv motor be a good choice for a losi ten scte 4x4 sct?

As long as it's the four pole version. A two pole would be a no go for sure. I tested the four pole 4600 extensively in my slash 4x4 which was a tad lighter than a losi, but it pushed the 6.5 lb truck around the track with ease. My only concern would be the 3mm shaft. It might not hold up as well to the added stress as a 5mm shaft would.

either or, whatever ya want... 3800 or 4600... The 4600 would be a lil faster but you would want to start with a smaller pinion, say 12-14... The 3800 would be higher 16-18 for starters... I would say to watch the motor temps CLOSELY!

since i have the correct size pinions at home should i just buy the 4600? would the temps stay lower on the 4600?

OUt of the 2, get the 4600, just be sure it is a 4 pole though! Like I said watch the temps!

can i get a fan to bolt onto the motor to keep the temp down?
