Pull the brushes out and see if they are worn all the way across the face. If they aren't, the dyno numbers that came with the motor are worthless and you need to continue running in the motor until they are all the way seated. If they are are, plug it in and go.

A dyno version Core stock motor has already been broke-in at the factory.

If the motor had a dyno sheet with it, than the motor was ran.

Joe I think where alot of the problem is that the majority of the motors you buy (no matter whos they are) are never broken in all the way. They almost always still have serrations on them.

having serrations doesn't mean the motor isn't properly broken in. You need to make sure the brushes are fully seated. with 767s and my Orion Chrome stock ( yes, chrome stock ) I can seat my 767s and still have some serrations left.

If the brushes aren't fully seated, its not fully broken in. Seen plenty of MVP plus motors that aren't fully seated but you still get a dyno printout as well. As for Orion, not sure, but always check regardless of what anyone says.
