I would stick to either the 4000 or 3300. My buddy fried a 4600 in his losi running 2s lipo. Engine temps would stay 180+ constantly. I have the 4000 in my slash and love it! Temps stay below 140 and im running 3s!

Hands down I would have said the 4000kv with 2s as it has tons of torque to pull that tank all over the track with more options for pinion as the power is created in the lower RPM ranges unlike the 4600kv which is an RPM monster but better suited to larger 8th scale sized track, and even then the 4000kv can be geared to maintain pace with the 4600kv with ease. The 3300kv is a 3s motor to my understanding so you may want to return it for the 4000kv and try 13t-15t pinions.

physically the motors are the same. THe Kv differs. The 3300 is meant for 3s, the 4000 and 4600 are for 2s.

Start with 13T and go from there, you will want to gudge it by the main straight and weather you top out. If you are reaching your top sped long before the end of the straight then go up a tooth until you are happy with the results. I am currently running on a tight small indoor track and run an 11T pinion, with the smaller pinions you may find that exiting corners the truck will seem to want to spin or lose traction. To help solve this you will turn down the current limiter in the ESC. If you are running on a large 1/8th style track then you most likely can start with a 15T but a great way to learn is to speak with the other racers at your track and get idea's from what they are running.

Hope this helps.

Sean
