Brushed Traxxas Bandit worth the effort?

Brushed Traxxas Bandit worth the effort?
I know a guy selling a brushed Traxxas Bandit for $90
It has a few small upgrades (front aluminum bumper, front aluminum show tower, and upgraded shocks and bigger tires and wheels)
I don’t own any Traxxas, but I have some really nice bashers. Would it even be worth the effort/money? Is it a fun car to bash?
I assume it will need more upgrades to survive ...?

It's fairly durable. Not the best handling buggy in the world. If you want old school 2wd buggy in an overweight package, and your intentions are simply to have fun with it, the Bandit is great. I've kept upgrades to RPM arms, alloy C-Hubs, bearing carriers and the steering rack. I've used GTR shocks to get the car to sit lower. Mine is a VXL model I've had since... The VXL model was released I think. I've broken one arm, one front bulkhead and bent many shock shafts. I've had a blast the entire time.

My brother has the VXL Brushless. It's fun as a basher. The only broken parts that I know of came from hitting solid objects at full speed. It does like to wheelie. We played with the shock oil and springs to tame it was much as we could.

The Bandit is one the few Traxxas vehicles I never bought. But for $100, might be worth risk. I used to be strictly brushless. I didn’t get brushed. But in last few years I’ve come to like it.
Nice thing with Traxxas is you can convert it into something else. I’ve remembered right, coworker started with a bandit and then turned it into a 2wheel Slash.
it is a fully running vehicle. Does need any work to get running

A brushed bandit is a ok rc.. it does have its weak points. front C hubs are 1 and the stock traxxas trans housing. Id replace both with rpm parts.. I know a few of them that have been built by my drag racing friends that go over 100mph..on 3 cells no more.If it was me id offer 75 max....

Since you said you already have "some really nice bashers" I guess I'd be asking myself what would the Bandit bring that you don't have covered already? $90 might be a good deal in general and it might not, but if you don't have much need for one then it's definitely not a good deal *for you*.

I have an Arrma 6S Senton, 6S Kraton, and a few road bashers too
I'll probably pass
