I have seen a moulded tub standard length buggy chassis in person, but as far as I know the only +8's in existence are aluminum.

I'm curious what the reason for switching to a plastic tub was? More flex? Less weight? Not questioning the decision- TD has earned my trust when it comes to vehicle design, would just like to know the reasoning behind the change.

Tower Hobbies has this kit listed on their website.

$289 with estimated stock early June.

Hoping TD has this kit done and is working on website release soon. Really want to get some official info on this truck.

I would think the front axle would carry bearings

I saw the SC and it was a hex front, bearings in the spindle, non adjustable trailing.

Yes both ST and SC 2wd trucks use hexes. Bearings in the spindles, etc.

I tested the molded chassis standard length and on a track with lots of bumps or low traction I think it might be the ticket. All my local tracks have done some track changing so I'm building two identical 2wd buggies save for the chassis so I can get some exact testing results.

Yes that was the case. I didn't have a production body in time to make cactus so I had to make something work. This was the best I could do with what bodies I had available locally.

I'm told the production body is quite sexy

Yeah yeah, I never claimed to be as fast as Fish daddy

In my defense I was simply shaking down the truck at the Cactus. I didn't even get it on the track until Q2. It's been 2 years since I ran the class.

Gerde and I were changing the setup each run to suit my driving style, etc.

I'm working on my setup while testing some new things on the truck.

Now that's what I call a job perk- Just working with Gerde on my setup a bit, no big deal...
