OK so I got the truck yesterday afternoon (BTW, I did get it for the sale price of 249.99 plus I got all the free extra parts). Built it yesterday evening and today, and raced it this evening.

First off, this thing is like 100x better than any short course truck I've driven. I put a mish-mash setup on it (some kit settings, others from Randy Pike's setup) and overall it handled pretty good. Steering was impressive, and many others watching mentioned that it looked like a rocket. So I probably practiced for about 20 minutes with not a single issue (and a big smile on my face)...then came the racing.

1st round - Rear shock blew apart
2nd round - Broke rear a-arm on pipe coupling
Main - Blew out other rear shock on 2nd lap

Turns out that I didn't thread-lock the screws that hold the pistons onto the shock shafts (not mentioned in manual, but is suggested on Durango's website). They worked loose and then the entire shaft fell out of the shock. Oh well, I'm gonna change the shock oils anyway, so I'll just redo them all.

Overall though, I'm pretty pleased. I can't see myself ever getting another SCT.

Hey Guys

I bought a the DEST210R as a roller an loving it so far. Running a boosted 13.5t and its massive fun (at our local for stadium truck the rule is run what you bring), problem is my wheel fell off.

And none of my tools fit into the Durangos wheel to redo the nut up!

Can anyone post a link to a 7mm hex driver that fits in the Rango wheel hole.

Just picked one up on the $249 special and was looking for a good gearing choice for 17.5

My dynamite 7mm works just fine. I had a problem with a nut once where the nut had a groove from me rubbing the wall though.

Nope but it may be close to the limit.

Pinion in gear cover is a 34.

I'm running 69/34 for my 17.5 buggy I think.

I have succesfully used a RRP 35 pinion with a 69 RW spur. No rubbing.
