i found a sc8 that need new nitro motor for $125 is that a good deal? how expencive is to convert to electric?

Sounds like a pretty good deal to me. I think the Team Associated conversions are around $100.

Would love to get an SC8e but there is no where near me that is running 1/8th SCT racing at the moment, however as a Basher.... I reckon it would be a lot of fun.

how much could i get a engine for the sc8? any engine would fit or does it have to be a specific one? never had nitro car sorry for the questions lol

i would think that any .21 or .28 motor would fit in it. nitro requires ALOT more tuning than electric, also make sure you put after run oil in the engine as well.

The more I see of these the more I want one! Its a bummer they only offer the electric version in one trim. Been looking for something 1/8 with scale looks as a basher to keep my race stuff from getting messed up by my stupid friends

edit: What are the most popular mods for durability?

There's lots of billet parts out there to replace everything plastic to aluminum but the SC8e out-of-the-box is very durable!!!

Here is my SC8e racing in the RC PRO VA State Race at the Tiltyard in Dayton VA. This is mostly footage from the last triple A-main (last race of the day and series). It ran pretty well except for some traction rolling and driver mistakes from me. I'm used to racing vehicles with more air attitude, but I think with some body mods and practice hitting the down jumps right, I should be OK. I really had no chance of beating the top 3 guys in this E-Truggy class since my fastest lap was a second off of their average lap...LOL...Yep, I brought up the rear in this race, but it was fun anyway. I really enjoy driving this truck and still think it's the best short course truck out there. I wish this 8th scale SC class would take off, it would be the most fun class to race. Anyway, I'll be messing with set-ups and mods to make this truck even better. I started this video with my mistakes to show the toughness of this truck, then move on to the good footage. I should be it racing again in August, so we'll see if I do any better next time.....

I bumped my EPA/Travel/Motor Power to 85% for this race...
