Default ESC wiring

Hi there,
I've been out of racing for about 10 years. I've recently purchased a Duratrax 8T pro (yes returning to racing.
The manual is unclear about the wiring. The ESC has 3 soldering post. I would like it confirmed that the wiring should be as follow: negative batt to esc, neg motor to esc, positive batt to positive motor, with a T intersection going to the ESC. Is this correct?
Thanks in advance.
