Default Tekin RX8 with T8 2650KV motor 4C or 3C ?

I recently puchased Losi 8IGHT E 2.0 buggy with Tekin RX8 Speed Control and T82650KV motor. I need to buy some batteries and I am wondering what is better for this setup - 3C or 4C? What are you guys using with this set up? The guy that I bought it from said he was using 4C's and that it was too fast for him and that is why he sold it. Any input would be really appreciated.

Thanks.

Yeah, that was my opinion too, 2650 is too much motor on 4S! Thats why I sold mine and got a 1900kv! But since you have it, I would say just get the biggest mah 3S lipo that will fit the battery tray and give it a go!

If your deadset on running the 2650 3s is the way to go, however I would try to get a 1700-2050kv for 4s..

actually 3s on a 2650 feels really good, the4 battery is lighter and a 3s 5000mah can easily make 12 min.

for everything but the biggest tracks you will be fine.

If you are buying new I would suggest 1900-2100kv motor (make sure it is a buggy length) and 4s

I have ran both and the 4s 1900kv has much more low end grunt than the 3s 2650kv, but the 3s was easier to drive.
