Missing parts in kit.

I purchased a team associated rc8.2e and was missing 3 or 4 parts. Is this normal for a factory team kit?

AE will send you the missing parts. The chance at missing parts and the occasional defective part is what you get for the cheap price of the kit, manufactured and boxed in china.

Cheap price? :weird: I wouldn't exactly call that kit, cheap!

I think he meant the labor was cheap, not the kit.

I've had missing parts from my RC8Te kit before too. Associated should invest in a precise weight scale like Tamiya and HPI use as a check. Will save AE's customer service some time and frustrated customers by having to send out parts.

If these were made in the USA we wouldn't have to deal with missing or funky parts! But the kit would be $35,000!

I had a couple defective parts in my Factory Team TC5R. AE has a form you can fill out and fax them (yea fax.. haha). I sent it in and they shipped the parts out to me no questions asked. The only thing I didn't like was that after my fax I had no idea if they were going to do anything until the parts showed up at my door.

Click the link after: Items missing or defective from box.
Do you suspect some items were missing of defective from your newly-purchased Associated kit or RTR? To obtain parts missing from original buyer's Associated kit or RTR,
