Default Best ESE for Losi scte 4wd

New to RC I have a Losi scte 4wd and a Tekin 4pro 4600. What do you think would be the best for that motor? The Tekin?

Go with the RX8 and save yourself any possible headaches. Not saying the others won't work, but the RX8 is awesome with the Pro4 or 550 cans. It seems that the motors run cooler with it over other ESCs.

I'll be picking up my Pro 4600 today, I'm using a MMP that didn't really fit in my on road car, can I use a RX battery in parallel with the ESC power to the RX or do I have to disconnect the ESC red power lead?

make sure you have a good fan on the mmp and have a back-up. if the fan quits, the mmp will over-heat. otherwise it will work good.

Excellent ESC and way cheaper than Tekin. Sensored and sensorless. I have been running one in my 1/8th buggy for a few years. Very happy

Thanks guys! Money is not an issue but don't want to spend it stupidly, but looks like the Rx8 is the hot stuff. I want to buy some thing and not have to worry about it! The MMP only the next best thing to the Rx8?

The way I go about deciding what electronic to put into a car/truck is I look at what the pros are running. Understandably they are trying to do that win on Sunday buy on Monday deal but if they can win with it, it should be good for you. Dakota Phend (U.S. 4x4 National Champ) races at the track I race at (when hes not at the big races) and I looked over his truck to see that I want to invest in mine. Him and his dad are VERY nice to talk to and at the time he was running a 550 can motor with the Orion R10 Pro. So if that combo is good for him then its good for me. I am running a Trinity 550 4.5 with the Orion R10 Pro and all I go to say is... WOW . this thing really rips. I have my truck and Speedo set up almost like his and its a beast. the thing is just WICKED AWESOME!!!

I run a Pro4 4600 with MMP and its been great. Also use a MMP with sc4x 5.5 in my sc10 4x4, both problem work perfectly. I was going to get the RX8, but at the end of the day the MMP will do exactly the same job at $70 less.

Well , going by the title of this thread I would say the best ESE would be the Blitz ESE !

Seriously though the Tekin RX8 is at the top of the ESC food chain IMO and will run any motor you put on it . I never could get my MMP to run as smoothly as the RX8 does even with a BEC . The RX8 on the exact same gear works flawlessly .

Cant recommend Novak as I had 3 go out on me using their recommended setup , but when they worked they they great . Maybe they got the bugs worked out with the newer versions but I couldnt get a Havoc Pro SC to last more than 2 months before it would start acting up .

Some guys have good luck with the Hobbywing ESC's and I have own a couple myself and they worked good , but they dont have much customer support if you need it as they are in China .
