i already race stock sc which is 17.5 and mod sc which is basically unlimited and open 4x4 sc. But im new the buggy/truck classes what all classes are there for the buggys and trucks.

Depends completely on your track. Our track generally only runs mod classes. We will have a novice class if enough show up, but there really aren't many stock racers at our place. Others run all kinds of stuff. It's just whatever your turnouts support.

Same ones. Stock 17.5, open Mod. Some tracks run a 13.5 super stock class, but they're rare. Your 2wd shortcourse electronics will carry over perfectly.
