Default Newbie Gearing Question - SC10 4x4

I have an SC10 4x4. I believe that my stock gear ratio per the Team Associated site says 2.57:1. What does that loosely translate to? I believe that my pinion is a 14t.

What is a great gear range to be in for small indoor tracks? Looking for good punch and quick spurts of speed down the straights. Thoughts?

From what i gather, average gearing is 14/62 (thats what i run, seems to be a sweet spot), if you want more torque go 12/62, 13/60.

I can run the shiat out of mine for a full pack and temps are in check with the 14/62.
