So I had the sidewinder 4 pole set up and I smoked the esc so I have a tekin rs and rx8, i am just wondering if either of those would work the 3800 4 pole?

I run the 3800 on an RX8 in my SCTE and it is very smooth . The RS will run it as well as long as you dont put too much load on the motor .

I ran that setup and I wouldn't say my experience with it was smooth. The tekin stuff really shines w/ sensored motors. I found the xerun esc's run sensorless much smoother than the tekin ones. Just my experience.

I just wanted to make sure it won't harm my esc or motor if I run it

The RS (non Pro version) wouldn't be a good one to run a 4-pole motor on, the RX8 would be the better choice.
