Mine is on the way. Black spacer plate goes on and the blue spacer goes on the the included topshaft and rests against the bearing in the transmission. The slipper assembly then goes on as normal. Use supplied screws to bolt it up. Easy.

That's what I did and the top shaft gear stick up past the other gears. Without the blue spacer it fits fine. Just wondering if anybody had installed it in the b4 as it looksmlike the blue spacer is not needed. Anybody.

I got mine yesterday. i didn't use the stock spacer that goes on the top shaft. the tranny case won't close if you use that spacer. as far as the blue spacer, just slip that onto the top shaft after the case is closed and before you put the slipper disks on.

Just a thought.

NOT talking bad about the product, looks like a quality product.

No instructions!!!!!!!!

Avid or any company who doesn't include some kind of instruction, if there is some assembly required. Is just wrong!!!

Just installed the JConcepts carbon steering rack on my SC10, they included a simple 4" x 6" picture with text instruction sheet.

Seems to me that JConcepts wants to keep me spending $$$$$ with them. And in this case Avid doesn't need my $$$$$

I received mine today. So the blue spacer actually goes outside of the tranny case? If that is the case then I would think the stock spacer should remain inside the tranny. My new kit won't be here until Monday so I won't get into it until then.

From Avid's Facebook page

Kurt Wenger - Just take apart the gearbox, pull the kit topshaft and spacer out. Put in the new topshaft and the blue tube goes on the outside now. Then add the motor plate spacer and motor plate with the longer screws to hold it on. Make sure and keep the washers under the screw head.

===

Seems the AE topshaft spacer isn't needed, cause Kurt didn't say to put the spacer on the Avid topshaft.

The supplied shaft has a shoulder machined into the shaft. This replaces the stock spacer. The blue spacer is 5mm long, same as black spacer.
