I just converted an LX ultra comp to electric. I used the motor mount and battery tray from the LX1e. Everything worked perfectly. I replaced the rear center diff brace with the LX1e motor mount. The only thing I had to do was to widen one of the holes for the motor mount screws in the chasis because the stock diff mount holes were slightly off. I just slotted the existing hole and it worked fine. I also used the rear brace from the LX2e to replace the stock rear brace from my ultra comp. The battery tray did not align with many stock chasis holes so I improvised a bit and got three of them to align with the battery tray holes. This is just enough to support the tray with my (2) 2s packs.

I'm getting ready to do the same thing. I found that most parts will work if you stay in the Ultra lx family. I'm going to order the lx1/2E battery tray and motor mount and use my dremel to convince it to fit. Otherwise if you want to fork out $45 rcmonster has a motor mount

The one for $45 lines right up with the old nitro motor mounts? I need to hurry n do this I miss my buggy it was so fast with the nitrogen set up but I live in new Orleans Nd its to humid I hate the tuning everytime I started it.. I had the lrp .28 and jp3 pipe before I think I'm going to go tekin it mamba when I get to that point of it

I'm happy saving the $20 and getting the lx2e motor mount. You only have to add 1 hole to make it work.

good info for the basics of gearing and motor speed.

there are a lot of factors like gearing, battery size, motor etc. play with this and you can get a better idea.
