Help with gearing and timing on my SC10 please
I've tried searching the sc10 thread but can't find what i'm looking for. Can you please help? Currently I have a FT SC10 with tekin rs pro esc and a trinity D3 17.5. I run it at full can timing, full esc timing and boosted with 19/84 gearing. I like the punch it has but could use abit more however on the straight it seams im giving up some speed. I race a small indoor hard packed clay track. Its very tight with many jumps and only 1 50-60 ft straight. However there are several very tight turns that require great punch be competitive. I bought a RevTech 17.5 to try tonight at the races, any recommendations on timing and gearing? I wont have alot of tuning time tonight before the race

Maybe you should try lowering the can timing while using a bigger pinion. Also search in the SC10 gearing thread :

I took a look at that thread ybut there isnt really any talk about running boosted 17.5's. I know running boosted I know you I can drop the pinion. I'm just confused if i'm running too small of pinion and hurting torque and speed?
Make sure to check motor temps. |
