I learned the hard way. The first kit I bought was for the SCTE since many parts will work on the SCBE and TEN-MT. The SCTE comes with 5mm axles, the TEN-MT has 6mm axles so that kit didn't work. Then I found the kit for the 6mm axles, which I could only find directly from the manufacture. No other stores seem to sell it but they all sell the SCTE kit.

I'm not sure if the SCBE has the 5mm or 6mm axles but if it has the 14mm hexes like my TEN-MT does then I would guess they are the 6mm. I think the SCTE has 5mm axles because it has the 12mm wheel hexes. The kit is pretty straight forward, remove tires, remove wheel hexes, remove axle pins, place adapter over axles, put the pins through them, lock pin in with small screws that come with the kit. That's it.

Does anyone know either way what size axels the SCBE comes with? How about what size hexes?

It doesn't sound like Losi is playing the "compatibility" game with it's wheels. Long term, for whatever reason I feel like the right move is to switch out the axle stubs with something else.

14mm is a weird size. Very limited in selection. 12mm is standard 10th scale, 17mm is standard 8th scale so both will have tons of choices.

Just use 17mm, better wheel selection and more durable

Like i said the first kit I bought was for the scte and it didn't work because the scte had 5mm axles. So just make sure the kit works with 6mm axles. Unless you have aftermarket axles.

Is there a way to get a body like this onto a Tekno? I love how these look, but I sold my Losi SCTE 2.0 and run a Tekno SCT and EB... I really want a SCBE, or Yeti, Wraith, etc type body...

If anyone has any ideas or tips id appreciate it! haha

Funny, I was just wondering if it would be possible to fit the SCBE body onto one of Losi's RWD SCT chassis.

Well, if it fit on my Kyosho Mp9 tki3, then it should fit on the Tekno:

You may have to modify the rear shock tower to accommodate the hinged mounting cage. Basically, you will need to put the cage together first and put the panels, then fit it to your buggy and see where you will need to mount the hinge that goes onto the rear shock tower. After that, you can mount body posts to the front and the body should just go right on.

hmm ok, i like how it looks and im shocked that the scbe isn't more popular... I guess ill just have to keep looking and see how it actually mounts up. Was hoping someone who had a Tekno already did it so I could see if it is easily doable.. lol.
