TLR 22 hex vs B4.1 hex
I have not done the hex conversion on my B4.1 yet but was wondering if someone how has could help me out. After the conversion can you use the same rim/tire on the b4.1 and TLR 22 ? are the offsets the same and or the shaft size different? thanks for any help :)

Going by Pro-line's website:
front wheels- KYO RB5 and ASC B4's(with hex) are the same TLR22 is its own Rear wheels- RB5, 22 and B4's(with hex) are interchangeable Shaft sizes- RB5 and 22 use a 5mm axle B4's use a 3/16 axle |
what about offset?
So I'm curious to the offset....are they all equal for the rear wheels?
I know Jconcepts has the mono wheel for RB5, B4.1 (with hex), but the 22 wheels are completely a different "mono" wheel. I think it's cuz the offset but not 100% sure. Now Proline has the velocity wheel that fits all 3 cars but sure they fit...but is the offsets correct with the proline wheels?? Can anyone confirm the true offsets? Thanks |
I noticed the same thing with Jcons rear hexs and DE TLR 22 wheels on my B4.1 when i mounted them up recently...
i will measure the pin drive B4.1 DE's vs's the hex TLR22 DE's on my B4.1 and report back... |
Just checked my B4.1 with the below mounted no tyres
Pin drive DE Wheels mounted..................243mm Jcons Hex #2091 and DE TLR 22 wheels....244-245mm There may be a 1mm variance in other B4.1s because of shimming, camber etc..... I cant see the Jcons or Proline TLR wheels being much different too the DE's offset |
The Kyosho RB5 and AE B4.1 use the same JConcepts Mono Wheels.

If so...proline should re-advertise their velocity wheels. It would suck to run these and then figure out they don't fit in the box! LOL |
