Default ten-scte motor question?

Hi guys, so i've got a ten-scte the I have a rx8 esc, orion 60c 6000mah battery and have a 8.5t motor now. My motor just lack the power to compete with the fast drivers at my shop. I'm thinking of a tekin pro4 4600, sc4x 4.5t or a novak ballistic 550 4.5t. what do you guys think? Any feedback on these motor choices?

Only reason i'm debating on the pro4 4600 is thats its a 540 size. Will it lack the throttle response and torque so a tight track with lots of jumps but still give me good speed for the decent sized straight

The motors are awesome. they might be a 540 size motor but they are 4pole motors. Most 540 and 550 are two pole motors. they will have the torque and pull out of a turn to clear short run up jumps. They will have a TON!!! Of top end speed. They are great motors. I run the 4000 in my sc10 4x4 and I have run the 4600 in the losi.

Pro 4 4600 wins easy. I run on a tight track as well and it's great. Don't lwt the 540 can fool you. These have tons of torque and more top end the you will probably even use.

Sounds like the 4600 may be the way to go. My current set up with the 8.5t just lack speed on the straight and i've gotta hit things perfect to clear the tripples with short run ups. Most guys at my track are running trinity 5.5t or castle 1410's or ballistic 4.5/5.5. I just want a setup I can compete. nobody at my track is running the pro4 stuff yet.

the tekins are awesome..but another motor you might consider would be the tenshock sc411 4600kv...its around $89.00 new...i've had mine for about a week now..ran a few packs though it..thing is amazing!! you won't b disappointed with any of the new 4 pole motors..crazy torque..i went from a tekin sc4x 5.5t motor to this 4600kv 4 pole in my losi scte..and will never go back..lol

** if you are the first one at your track with a pro4, u'll have all kinds of people asking what motor you have in ur truck..they really are that awesome!! LOL

I have the ballistic 4.5 with the tuning rotor in mine. It's a monster, but it needs to be cleaned all the time

Tekin pro4 4600 w/RX8 is the way to go, tons of torque, insane top and smooth.
