I am so confused at this point. But, at least I have the motor already and which ecs to go with is a small issue vs it could be worse...lol!

You can run Pro4 with MMp as well !!

Yes, he could, but without issues may be another thing though...
With the RX8 he can put it in and go without worrying about if he should get a bec or not.

I'm a die hard castle fan, for several reasons, I've never fried one knock on wood, I run a mmp in 1/8 e buggy with a 1900 tekin t8 motor in sensored mode using esc's bec with racers edge cap, and ht7955tg servo, just as fast as any rx8 and have seen just about everyone blow multiple rx8's gen 1 and 2 and mine keeps going strong for the past couple years.
I run a mmp in my scte mip same set up except 2cell and pro4 4600 or trinity 4850 zombie which first gen motors had a heat issue but I haven't tried a zombie 2gen yet but will soon, running 40t spur and 13 or 14t pinion...
You can't beat a sensored mmp, even oval 1cell pan cars these are the way to go and dominate the field....
