Default rear differential locked up

I am messin with a duraxtrax evender or something like that. stuck a mamba max pro esc and a castle 6900KV motor. when you reach half throttle + it just stars doing donuts. I have not figured out the cause im wondering what would happen if i was to take about the rear differential and lock it up some how so both back tires spin the same speed all the time.....How bad would that mess with my steering control?

probably put a good push in the car. maybe not the fastest on the track but thats the best way to run fast sideways.

Is that a ball or gear diff?

If its a ball diff, try tightening a little.

If its a gear diff, remove, clean well, and relube with a heavier grease.

check all the bearing in the rear also. Sounds like one may be locking up at speed.

If you hold up the rear end, with the tires off the ground and give it throttle slowly, will both wheels rev up at the same speed?
