Default Losi 2wd help

Hey I just bought a roller and I'm just look for feedback and tips on how to get this thing ready.. I have decided to go with the following setup:

$180 (shipped) Losi XXX-SCT Roller

$35 2.4Ghz Radio

$15 EXI D227F Servo

$24 Tacon 3650-3500KV motor

$40 HobbyWing 35A ESC (2S Only)

Then I can get tires, foams, and rims for cheap so I'm looking for some good tires and rims 2...

I know I wanted molded foams.. But not sure on the front and rear tires..

Also how do you think this set-up will be?

Forget the Flysky radio, I have heard many complaints about it. Buy a decent radio such as Futaba, Airtronics, jr or Kopropo

I would definitely get a different esc than the 35a hobby wing. Something more along the lines of a 60a minimum. The tacon motors are ok. Almost would push you in the direction of a dynamite 3300 kv sc system. They can be had for 90 bucks and are a nice budget system. I run the 226f servo in my xxxt and love it, they are a good really cheap servo. What kind of track or terrain are you going to run on? I have a few sets of wheels and tires from my xxxsct. I have a flysky gtb3 and it is a awesome system for the money, never had a lick of trouble with it. Our local indoor track banned it though because it would bleed signals with the airtronics radios with a spektrum module.

If you were to pay $90 then just buy a tekin, Trinity or lrp...

Ya I was buying all that stuff because I was on a tight budget.. I'm confused people are saying the FlySky remote is good but then say it's good not sure if I should get it.. But I think if I get a different ESC and Motor I will blow my budget..

what do you guys think I should get post links please.

Train is Indoor Clay track smooth... I'm going to be running on dirt and stuff on accoastion but I do need track tires..

The dynamite combo is 90, that is motor and esc. To my knowlege a tekin system is over 200.

A used tekin setup can be had for $170-200, new they're like $250

They're worth the price difference, in my opinion, but they are a lot of money.

You're going to be limited on tire/wheels unless you convert the front to hexes and then you can run slash rears, blitz wheels or proline tru-tracks.

There is a lot of useful info in the XXXSCT thread

I have the GT3B and I love it. And under $8 a receiver makes it even better. But yeah your gonna want a better esc. I don't know if they are in stock, but look into speed passion. Great esc's at a great price.

Ok so I"m getting that remote..

I dont need a freaking $200 motor and ESC... Geez thats way expensive.. $100 is my budget for both motor and ESC...

Any links for a good deal? Say I was suppose to stay under $80 but I guess I can go higher.. But it would almost have to be sensored brushless.

speed passion has a good motor esc combo for around $100 and they are good. My dad has ran one for years and loves it. Programmable to with drag brake, etc. Just my input.
