Default HPI Savage XS Flux durability

I've seen tons of threads of the MERV VXL vs the Savage XS Flux but I also wonder which to get. Im a little more on the MERV's side since i know its durability, speed and faster ways to charge it. As for the Savage XS, I know its charge time (30min i think) its amazing speed but dont know its durability? Is its durability good or not? And what kind of battery does it use and what charger can i use to make it quicker? Can this charger work? http://hobbyking.com/hobbycity/store...idproduct=7028

Thanks!

ThunderbirdJunkie has a Savage XS, and his buddy has both an XS and a MERV VXL...

The buddy doesn't drive his MERV much because he has a sweet-ass Savage XS.

Do you know what battery and charger does he use?
