Much appreciated, sir. I'll pick up a small variety in that case. Maybe 17,18,19.

Novak sells 3 packs, saves a couple bucks on each one. They come in 15-17, and 18-20

I ran 5/5/5 for awhile and loved it. Recently I tried 5/7/5 and that has done wonders for my buggy. I think with electrics since we usually run really powerful motors that having the 7k keeps from the center diff cooking from all the power.

I've tried a bunch of combinations but always end up back with 5-5-5.

I like a little thicker in the front so I am running 7-5-3 right now. I may go up to 7 in the middle.

So if these are the same , why the different coatings ?
Do the new kits have a bronze chassis is that it ?

I asked AE this question directly. It is a hard anodized coating similar to the ft shocks. It is to resist wear from dragging across track surface. The reason for two models is is a running change, all new kits will include updated anodized chassis. Old black chassis I'd being phased out.

Hi guys, just wanted to let everyone know that I recently got the AE Carbon Shock Towers for my RC8.2e and weighed them to see what the difference is over the stock FT aluminum towers.

A pair of CF towers is 1/2 oz. lighter than the aluminum ones.

IMO, that's a very low weight savings to cost ratio (It was about $80 for the pair) but they do look nice and seem very stiff.

Just some information I wanted to pass along.

Have you had a chance to see how the front one stand up to being flipped over and dragged thru the dirt during a crash? Cf is very strong but that type of damage is its weak point. I've been thinking about trying them out.

No, not yet. I only get to bench race the thing until springtime when the 1/8 tracks open up.

On any or even all three of the RX8s, do you normally use 4s batteries?
The reason I ask, is it sounds to me as if that may not be the case, and if I'm correct, the LVC is not set for 4s batteries. When LVC is not set correctly, the Rx8 will not arm. You'll still get power to the receiver though, so this is why the servo and PT still operate.
yea im pretty sure its the thunderpower battery....sucks cause its supposed to be a "good" battery but i never have any problems with my $25 turnigy 4S packs.
