Default "Battery voltage Error, cell low voltage"

Hello I have a turnigy 4500 mah 4s lipo battery. I run it in my Ve8. Because I live in the american rain forest known as Eugene Oregon, I have not ran my car in monthes.....One day, it was sunny and i tried to charge my battery. (I have a venom charger) when I plugged it in and started charging it, the screan said "Battery voltage Error, cell low voltage". I thought about it and I was thinking that maybe the voltage in the cells were too low because it was left alone for so long. Can this be possible? Do batteries need to be charged after a run? If the battery did go below voltage the cells should, is there away of bringing it back to life? I know the Turnigy from Hobby King is not the Highest of quality, but i would still like to save 60 bucks on a new battery. Thanks guys
