Word vomit!

Tekin blows up just like any other brand.

The fastest is the Xerun 120A. It has the best turbo program. But that's not what we're discussing.

I'm starting to really believe this statement.

I had a spare MMP Hanging around and an E buggy that needed an esc, so I soldered it in.

Ran fine for a moment or so, then started cogging on the sensor. Unplugged the wire, ran fine for a few more minutes, then witnessed the magic pink smoke billow from under the lid.

Loved the Mamba Monster, but have never been totally satisfied with the MMP. now I don't need to be concerned anymore.

So says the guy who has only on-road equiptment listed in his sig.... I have witnessed 10 or so RX8's burn up in the last race season so I'd say Tekin totally has their stuff together!! Meanwhile I have more than a few friends running castle stuff and the only failures I have witnessed... well they are men about it and admit that it was due to abuse on their part.....

the mmp cant handle the continuous amp spikes E buggy demands just like tekin doesnt suggest you run the rs in a 1/8th scale

Now only if the mamba monster has a sensor wire everything would be great.

You are correct on both counts. Anyone running MMP in a 1/8 buggy must have either a low, low kv motor or they're just lucky. '

And if the MMM was sensored, it would be just about perfect. Hardly anyone at our track runs anything 1/8 without a Castle. At start-up time, you hear those chimes all over the place. And, so far (nearly a year) I've been very happy with my MMP too. On 3-S and in a 1/10 vehicle, its been better than anything else I tried.

And I was a dedicated Novak guy for years and years. I still run a GTB in one car, but won't go to the Kinetic. Seen too many go up in smoke.

Owned my mmp for 10 months now. I have had it in a slash, 2 hyper 10sc's, 2 xxx sct's, tc3, sc10 4x4. I have put many hours on it and still works flawless and I am pretty hard on it. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one.

this post describes my last 3 years of multiple 1/8 cars, and they were only ran on a track:

Novak #1 - got 1.5 laps and billowed smoke
Novak #2 - same thing after 2nd race day

Tekin - would have tried, but saw AT LEAST a handful go for no apparent reason, not to mention others that maybe shouldn't have failed, but were understandable

Castle #1 - fan plug port got no power, smoked it
Castle #2 - flat landing to smoke

Hobbywing 80amp - flawless and the smoothest by FAR

i've been a novak fan since around 1990, and they really discouraged me with the failed attempt at these systems....all brands but hobbywing have proven themselves to fail (in my eyes). the only thing i ever saw go bad on a hobbywing is the fan itself. ssssso, i will run nothing but HW now, nothing has been smoother and more reliable for me

1/10 scale....thats a different story
