they are big and bulky. i have a 20 anp unit on my test bench and it stays there. i use a rivergate 30 or a samlex 1223 at the track.
if you go on ebay and search "pyramid power supply" there is a small 20 amp unit that is compact. its around $59.99. i do not know of anyone using one yet. so i cant say if it is dependable or not.

I bought a cheap 12 amp power supply off eBay a few years ago and haven't had any problems. It may be bigger than some of the "nicer" units, but it does the job just as well. Expect to spend $40-60 on a power supply.

Figure the smaller it is and more amps there are the more it will cost.

My 12 amp supply can power two chargers working at 5 amps just fine.

I am looking at an Integy 10a power supply. I plan to run a Pirahna Digital Peak Charger off it.. which I charge at max. 5 amps. Will this be enough??... I think I remember hearing to have a power supply 2x the amps you use plus 2? Is this right?

basement,
a 10 amp charger will be fine for that charger. but if you plan on racing or staying in this hobby i would spend a extra $20.00 and look for a 15 amp or 20 amp charger so that you can run two chargers.
