Default Cheap, RTR nitro off-road, does it exist?

I bought a mini-quake, blast to drive both on and off-road, but the battery life is short. My son doesn't quite understand this (he's 3), so I was hoping to find something with a longer run-time, without breaking the bank.

Needs to run both on-road and some off-road...

..suggestions?

AD,

If your 3yr old's attentions span is the same as my 3yr old, the 6-cell pack used in the Mini-quake is just about perfect!!!!!

If you are using the stock NiCAD pack, upgrade to another 6-cell nimh pack, you will get longer runtimes!!!!

Not to sell you here...but look at our website, we offer a couple of pack options that can be a direct drop in NiMH solution for the Mini Quake (btw, is my favorite truck right now)

Default ah-

but his attention span can be measured in hours, not minutes, so I do need *much* longer run times, hence the looking into nitro.

I'll take a looksee at your website all the same.

Nitro is not a good solution for your son. By the time you get the the car fueled, primed, started and tuned, he'll be using the antena on the controller as a sword. United's approach is much better. Just get 2 or 3 battery packs. You can get the cheap ones since you arn't racing. Then make sure the gearing is low. I started my son when he was 7 or 8 with an electric touring car. with sport battery packs, he could get 20 minutes of run time from each pack. The car couldn't go too fast, so he didn't break anything and he had lots of fun bouncing off of stuff as he went around the track.

Default Cool-

thanks for the direct links.

I'd be the one setting up the nitro truck, and we could both drive it, he's fr too young to be mucking about with fuel....
