I wouldnt go more than 14T when using anything more than 4s , people that run 5-6s are using motors with 1500-1700Kv ratings not the 2200Kv motor you are and it stresses the ESC too much IMO .

They are about the same durability wise but the truggy will be alot more stable in the rough stuff because of the longer chassis and wider a arms and will land jumps better because of the bigger suspension and tires .

Not cheap I got the kit from a friend But I think the e con kit was $130 or 150(rcmonster) but you can get an easy $80 back selling the nitro parts, and then electronics of your choice. $550 kit 150 econ, 130 servo 300 esc motor then wheels and tires pt etc etc but its awesome

I absolutely loved driving my 2 RC8TE truggies but the local tracks went tits up and I had build a backyard track that can only sustain 1/10 although I am considering trying a 1/8 buggy on it. The truggies are just way too fast and high flying for tighter tracks but do miss them. It was easy to quad where so many others had to double. Durable as hell too. People would pull off the road and watch all the time.

Default HPI Trophy Flux

I have a rc10t4 and love it. I went to get an RC8Te but was a month to late when they discontinued it I think in 2009 or may 2010. I've been waiting patiently (well not real patiently because I bought a Savage Flux HP in the meantime) for a 4WD 1/8 electric truggy to come out from one the mainstream companies. Anyhow, I was reading my RCDriver yesterday and saw an advertisement for the HPI Trophy Flux. Wow. This seems to be what I've been waiting for, a 4WD electric 1/8 truggy! Has anybody considered getting one of these? Doesn't seem to be to much information out there on it yet. However, HPI does have them on the American Website now.

These things are ugly.

Like a pitbull. You love 'em,...but that doesn't make them any less ugly.

I'll take that losi off your hands! How much?

I like the way they look with the new punisher and bulldog bodies!! And I give truggy the edge in durability because they can soak up more bumps and jumps with the longer suspension and the tires.
