Hey now...that's a smart looking bracket on the diff dog ears...

I checked my front shock angle with the shock tower in front, I have about 2-3 degrees already towards the back...if I put the shock tower behind the ears it'll be too much...I am running the Diggity CF shock towers...

I was told that the gear diff will hold diff oil, but there were neither gasket or o-rings in the case. So...

Another thing I needed help with are the shocks.
Is it just my plastic rtr, or are most of the SK10/S10B shock shafts having too much drag? So much that it made shock tuning almost pointless, even after having the car for over a month and using 0.8mm 0-ring spacers.

I understand the shaft, o-rings and spacers are all of 3.5mm specs (thereabouts), similar to 1/8 and Losi 22. I have run 1/10 & 1/8 cars, but never had any other shocks with so much o-ring drag in them!
Brought back memory of those old friction dampers...

Has anyone found a way to rid these things of the problem? I still like them but getting the shock tuned is almost impossible.

Diff should have oil in them. I know Bring it on(Rick) is doing oils in his.

Shocks you have to polish the shafts to get a smooth feel. Take 3000 grit sand paper and lighter fluid is what was suggested before, did this to my 1/8 shocks and they are super smooth will do it also to my 1/10 kit.

The first batch casterusa got didn't have the gaskets because I didn't want to wait any more. Had to test them and it is an easy fix and only temporary. Next order and we will probably have them. As for the shocks, Marcus has been recommending going plastic spacer, o ring o ring plastic spacer. He talks about his shocks in the 2 stage pistons thread. As for me, I have always polished my shock shafts on my losi, blitz, savage, etc. I thought that was what you do as a racers trick.

I think Caster should follow TD and make 14mm hexes and wheels for this buggy. That would be nice addition to all upgrades that is already out for S10B.

Will Gen Ace 6000mAh fit? I think they are to tall... You have to make some mods to fit them...

Also it is nice to have low profile servo (f.e. Savox 1251) not standard servo in buggy. With low profile servo it is possible to put ESC and rx on the same side. This helps a lot for balance.

The 6000mah may fit. I used some machined screws, cut the head off and then used blitz's thumb nut to secure the strap. Worked a lot better compared to the body clips

As for the rx on the same side as the esc/servo, I just mounted it on top of the servo and had no issues with clearance on the Jconcepts d4 body or the proline bulldog body. If you run the stock body there will be an issue, as I had to cut an opening so that the fan on the mmp could fit through

Here's with the PL bulldog body

and the jconcepts body

Note that I run my shocks forward of the gearbox/bulkhead to pick up the space of the dimensionally shorter bodies
