Default Old unknown Buggy

Anyone here know what this is? It has been posted on another forum and has drawn a blank. Any ideas?
Thanks
Kiiski

Does your buddy have a manual or know what the assorted wires and stuff are for?
Thanks,

Playtron DID make gas cars many years before the two electric buggies mentioned, but I can't tell if the pictured car is a Playtron or not

My local second hand shop has a pair of PB cars, one is a 2wd buggy and the other is a 1/8 on road.

Anybody know the worth of these??

I worked on a car identical to that and it was a kyosho..

remove the motor and there is a little kyosho embossment.

Other than that i've seen a marui but it had a roll cage.

good luck

Kyosho was my first thought as well, I have one around here somewhere, but haven't seen it in years. I don't recall mine having all the electrical junk on it though.

The elctrical may be custom. Looks like an onboard starter system. The electric motor looks to be powered through the transistor that is mounted below the engine. Chassis looks kind of like a kyosho, but I don't think it is an assault. got to love the sand scorcher / grass hopper rear tires. Look like they are in good shape too!! Very interesting buggy for sure.

Default Have you found out anything about this buggy?

I just aquired one, and it does come with an aluminum roll cage. The one I have is broken and I think missing a piece. If this link is still valid, let me know. I will post some picture's. It is a Playtron, Inc. Made in Japan. The engine is so darn light! It has an electric starter I believe. Mine doesn't have a manual either.
