Default Recommended Spec Slash Upgrades???

Hey guys, I just bought my first slash this past weekend and I plan on racing it in Spec Stock Slash in the Shortcourse Showdown in a few weeks and was wondering what legal upgrades would yall recommend? I tried to race it this weekend and it felt like i could turn a semi truck in a smaller radius. I installed a spectrum receiver in it and Im using a DX3R and I have the steering turned all the way up but no help. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Your going to have to check with your track director to see what can be upgraded in the spec class ran there.

May be some more info in the slash threads...

The Slash actually turns very well with limited amount of changes needed.

This is pretty good setup for this type of racing:

If you want to improve steering even further, I would upgrade the steering rack. SRTC and Traxxas both make aluminum upgrades and they use bearings instead of the stock bushings. A faster servo will help some as well.

We have replaced the stock Slash 2WD steering with the 4WD unit in both of our's as well as my Rusty and the increased steering is way better.
Check the rules before you get very far off.
Good Luck
